wRiteR's bLocK

Right now, I am drawing a blank. The ideas that usually come flowing out of my brain on a regular basis seem to be suck. At this point, I try weed and/or party punch but that isn't helping either.

Weed makes me sleepy and/or hungry. Over the years I have learned that one cannot type well with a sandwich in one hand and a blunt in the other. For some reason, reasons far beyond my comprehension, I refuse to put the sandwich or the blunt down. So ,I just kinda of sit there and wait for the screen to go off on my laptop. Then, I call one of my friends and we go out. (Don't ask me how I use the phone because if I knew that, I would figure out how to type with a sandwich in my hand) Usually, I don't return from partying until around 4 in the morning and when I walk in the door I fall asleep where ever I can. I have slept on coffee tables, end tables, chairs, couches, tile floors, the driveway (that's a story for another blog), and a wagon (also another story for another blog). There isn't any time to write.

Party punch inhibits my ability to control my sudden urges to dance. It's kind of hard to work when every song I know the words to comes on, I stand up and scream, "OH MY GOD!!! That's MY song!!" Then, I dance until I run out of breath, flop back on the couch and start giggling uncontrollably. After I have calmed down I might be able to get in a few words on the keyboard but then another song comes on and I'm right back on me feet, dancing 'til I can't dance no more. The only problem is that usually I am listening to a CD and all of the songs are "my song" so by the time I am done, I'm just sweaty and tired. Its a vicious cycle but someone has to do it.

Now that I think about it....I don't know why I use those things to cure my writer's block. Maybe it's because I always have the most interesting things to write about once I come down from my high/drunken stupor. Yep.. That's the way to go.. Writer's block to writer's blackout to writer's gold.
